Developers can use ADL-R to locate SCORM-conformant content that may be applicable or reusable to support DoD competency development and training.

The objective of ADL-R is to increase mission and cost-effectiveness of DoD learning and performance. Developers are critical to that role since the cost and speed of development can be reduced through knowledge reuse.

ADL-R is designed to expose all DoD-wide SCORM-conformant content to influence training programming and development under the DoD Planning, Programming and Budgeting Environment (PPBE), and assist in life cycle management of learning resources consistent with DoD policy.
