At the core of the ADL Registry is content metadata submitted by learning content repositories throughout the Department of Defense. This descriptive information about the content also incorporates a link to access the referenced content. Final access to the content is subject to the access permissions of the searching person.
Content metadata is submitted in accordance with the ADL-R Content Registration Metadata Model. This model provides a detailed description of the ADL Registry metadata schema, cardinality (limitations) and examples. It is important to review this model to understand how to effectively submit content metadata that will be useful and discoverable.
This portal includes detailed information about the content registration process under the Learn tab of this portal. Only authorized registered repositories may submit content to the ADL-R. It is recommended that approved organizations intending to submit content thoroughly review the learning resources prior to attempting to submit.
For new repositories, a separate ADL Training Registry is available to test your submissions and repository automated processes.
