The ADL Initiative seeks to create an online environment where SCORM-conformant content objects may be accumulated and managed for broad distribution and use. These content objects must be readily identifiable across the World Wide Web or whatever form our global information network takes in the future.
The ADL-R provides a framework for establishing a federation of content repositories known as the Content Object Repository Discovery and Registration/Resolution Architecture (CORDRA) to provide access to high quality educational resources, training performance aids, and pedagogies that may be shared and tailored to meet individual learner needs, and delivered cost-effectively at the right time and at the right place. The scope and vision of ADL-R is evolving.
